At Sitting of RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs

At March 2 sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs moderated by Naira Zohrabyan the bill on Making Addenda to the RA Law on Advocacy authored by Sergey Bagratyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, Davit Manukyan, Janibek Hayrapetyan and Kajik Gevorgyan was debated in the first reading.

The key speaker Sergey Bagratyan informed about the legal regulation proposed by the draft law.

The representative of the Government the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Vahe Danileyan proposed to leave the Article under debate by the draft law unchanged.

The initiative received negative conclusion.

The Committee made a decision to hold a working discussion on 10 March at 12:00, on the problems concerning the sphere of the advocacy activity in the RA and the implementation of the works of free legal assistance being provided by the Public Defender’s Office in the frameworks of public defense.

By the decision of the Committee on 13 April at 11:00, in the NA Session Hall parliamentary hearings on the theme The Problems of Protection of Human Rights in the Social Insurance will be held.
